I photograph the hours most people sleep through — the blue minute before dawn, fog burning off the headlands, the half-second a fox decides you are not a threat. A quiet record of light, weather, and wild things, made from California to Hawaii, Montana, and the far coasts.
Charlie Prigan is a landscape and wildlife photographer based in San Francisco. He grew up in Spokane, Washington, and later on a ranch in the countryside near Ford, where a camera became a way of paying attention. Today the work ranges far beyond the Bay Area — California, Hawaii, Montana, and the far coasts — wherever the light and weather are worth following.
The pictures are unhurried and uncropped — available light, long waits, no bait. Prints are available upon request.
Each print is made to order. Reach out for sizes, pricing, and availability.
